The Stadium

The Stadium has been transformed over the past number of years. Bedford Borough Council has developed both indoor and outdoor athletic sporting opportunities. It is now known to enjoy a central location in the heart of Bedford, yet only 10 minutes from the M1 and A1 road links, making it accessible too.

The Stadium has acquired a reputation as one of the finest facilities of its kind in the south and indeed the UK.

The outdoor facilities comprise an International standard eight lane floodlit synthetic track, athletics field events, and two rugby pitches, one of which is floodlit.

The sports hall comprises of eight badminton courts with one court for team sports such as football and a 60 metre sprint track. Activities offered range from Athletics, Football, Badminton, Short Tennis, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, Martial Arts and a variety of general fitness sessions. 

Opening times

The sports hall is open from 9.30am – 10.30pm Sunday to Friday and 9.30am- 6.30pm on Saturday. Last booking is one hour before above finishing times.

The gym facilities are also available at the above times.

The bar facility is available Monday to Friday 7pm – 10pm but may be booked at these and other times for private functions (if available).

These times are variable on Bank holidays and in the event of a major athletics competition being scheduled.
