How we in Social Services buy care and support for people in Bedfordshire

We have to be careful how we spend our money on support and care.
So we can make sure that our money on care and support helps the people that need it the most.
We have a way to check this in a fair way for everyone. It is called eligibility criteria.
We use this make sure everyone is checked in the same and fair way.	or
We will spend our money on care and support if people are in real danger now – or if there are really big risks in people's lives.
If you are not in real danger now but need support - we can tell you about other people that can help.
Remember! We want to make sure that the people in most need to get the right care and support with the money we have.

Eligibility criteria This is the way we choose who can get the care and support from the money we have. It also means that some people will not get the care and support from the money we have. Critical band This is when we judge that people are in real danger and need some support or care right away. Substantial band This is when we judge that people are at real risk.
