DAT Members

Here you will find information about some of the many organisations that together make up the Bedfordshire Drug & Alcohol Action Team (B:DAT)

Overview

Bedfordshire DAT brings together representatives from the key specialist agencies whose work impacts upon the four areas of the National Strategy.

These include County Council, Borough and District Councils, Police, Health, Prison Services and Probation as well as voluntary sector substance misuse servies and related agencies.

The bringing together of representatives from these key speacialist groups ensures that an effective partnership approach to cross-cutting drugs issues can be reflected throughout all aspects of the DAT's work.

This is integral to really making a difference to tackling drugs in Bedfordshire and to making sure that appropriate, integrated support is available to all those who need it, when and where they need it.

The DAT meets on a regular basis to make sure the strategies are moving forward. The meeting of the full DAT receives reports from each of the sub-groups (Young People, Communities, Treatment, Availability) and monitors progress towards the targets for each particular area.
