Local Communities Activity and Resources
Bedfordshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team strongly believes in working with communities to find local solutions to local problems and in strengthening the ability of communities to tackle drug and alcohol issues themselves.

The Guide to Drugs and Alcohol Services in Bedfordshire (D:GUIDE) is an innovative booklet that contains what you need to know about commonly misused drugs, drugs and the law, first aid as well as providing details of local drugs and alcohol services. The D:GUIDE also contains useful information for parents and young people.
The new updated for 2005 (D:2) version of the D:GUIDE is available FREE in community venues throughout Bedfordshire, such as, libraries, jobcentres, etc, or, you can get your FREE copy by calling 01234 276051 or emailing your D:Guide request|.

The B:DAT Communities Line was set up as a result of increased calls from members of the public seeking information because of initiatives such as the Chiltern FM Infomercial Campaign, www.bdat.org.uk |and the D:GUIDE. Drugs and alcohol issues can affect anyone at anytime for many different reasons. Whether you are a young person, a parent, a user or just someone who wants to find out more, the B:DAT can offer drugs and alcohol information or put you in touch with a local service that's appropriate for your needs.

B:DAT have copies of drug and alcohol information leaflets produced by national organisations such as HIT and FRANK. These publications cover the most commonly misused drugs and issues such as the law and harm minimisation, and are available to suit different age groups.
