How do Bedfordshire carers get help and support?

If you provide, or intend to provide a substantial amount of care on a regular basis you can contact us to request an assessment of your needs as a carer.

When you contact us, we will carry out an initial assessment.  This is to establish if the person you care for meets our Fair Access to Care| (FACS) criteria.  If the person you care for meets the FACS criteria then we can arrange to carry out a more detailed assessment of your needs.

Please do still get in touch with us if the person you care for:

  • does not currently have support from a health and social care practitioner; or
  • has previously declined services

We can put you in touch with other agencies who may be able to support you, even if the person you care for does not meet our criteria.
