Am I a Bedfordshire carer?

Carers are people who provide, or intend to provide:

  • A substantial amount of care
  • On a regular basis

The type of care they provide may be:

  • Emotional 
  • Practical

Anyone can be a carer:

  • Spouse or partner
  • Parent
  • Sibling
  • Relative
  • Friend
  • Neighbour
  • child under 18
  • person with parental responsibility for a disabled child

Carers provide this care, unpaid, to people who are:

  • Unwell
  • Frail
  • Living with a learning and/or physical disability and/or sensory impairment
