There are many aspects covered by the team including:
Providing comprehensive information, advice and guidance on registered childcare, activities and family support services for parents and carers of children aged from 0 -19 years.
Ensuring childcare and early years places are of high quality through providing support and assistance to childcare providers in areas such as training, the Foundation Stage Curriculum, equal opportunities, recruitment and business and finance issues.
Developing the Extended Services programme in Bedfordshire.
Recruiting and training people interested in working with children and young people.
Developing the Children's Centre programme in Bedfordshire.
Providing 3 and 4 year old nursery education funding.
Developing a high quality childcare workforce through offering training and qualifications and ensuring that there is adequate childcare to meet the needs of parents in Bedfordshire.
