Best Value Performance Plan 2008/09
2007/08 has been a significant year for the County Council:
-
Confirmation that the Council's attainment of 3 star status in the Government's overall assessment of Councils - and confirmation that the Council is "improving strongly". No other Council in the Eastern Region achieved this accolade
-
Winning the MJ's national award for Customer Services Achievement and being shortlisted in 3 other categories
-
Retained the Council wide recognition status for Investors in People
-
Youth Offending Service rated as the best in the country
From this already strong position, it is pleasing to report that the Council's 2007/08 BVPI performance has continued to significantly improve across all key areas, demonstrating the Council's ability to sustain high quality public services.
Despite the Council's significant achievements in 2007/08 - our ambition and desire to deliver high quality services for the people in Bedfordshire continues.
