Statement of accounts

The accounts provide a statement of the financial position of the County Council, and have been prepared in accordance with the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting in the United Kingdom - A Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP). The SORP is recognised by statute as representing proper accounting practice. 

The Audit Committee approved the  Statement of Accounts 2007/08| (PDF document opens in new window) on 26 September 2008.

A  Summary of the Accounts 2007/08| (PDF document opens in new window) is also available. This gives summarised information on the Council's Income and Expenditure Account, Balance Sheet and Capital expenditure.
