Benefits

Bedfordshire County Council administers a number of benefits to help learners at all stages of their education as well as in other areas of the community.

These include:

• financial assistance towards school clothing
• home-to-school travel support
• free school meals
• financial support and assistance for students in post-16 education at further education colleges.

The Welfare Rights Service| has a team of Welfare Rights Officers. They provide advice, support and information on welfare rights issues in Bedfordshire.
