Value for Money and Service Targets Survey

This was our first in-house survey, carried out in March 2008. Here are some selected results:

Question1: How good do you think the following services are in terms of value for money?

Very good / Good / Adequate / Poor

Black & White photocopying (50p):  45% 35% 15% 5%

Colour photocopying (£2): 25% 46.8% 18.8% 9.4%

Digital Photography (£7): 22.6% 41.9% 25.6% 9.7%

Research charge (£26 ph): 21.2% 36.4% 30.3% 9.1%

The service overall: 85.6% 14.4%

Question 3: There is currently a 5 minute target |for the production of documents from the store at the Archives & Records Service. Do you think this target is:-

Challenging? 86.1%

Should be more than 5 minutes: 13.9%

Question 4: There is currently a 2 day target for our staff to answer in full enquiries by letter and e-mail (we can negotiate for more lengthy research). Do you think the target is:-

Challenging 78.1%

Should be less than 2 days: 3.1%

Should be more than 2 days: 18.8%
