ERDF
ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) Competitiveness Programme (2007-13) Prospectus Launched
EEDA launched the draft prospectus for the new ERDF Competitiveness programme on 28th January 2008.
This is the first opportunity to apply for the approx £80m that the East of England has been allocated under the new seven year programme (2007-13).
Projects from across the region are eligible for funds, there is no further geographical restriction, thereby giving many Bedfordshire organisations their first opportunity to access ERDF money.
The East of England Programme has the overall theme:
“Towards low carbon economic growth”
Potential projects must be in line with the overall theme and the aims of the three Priority axes:
Axis 1 – to promote innovation and knowledge transfer with the intention of improving productivity
Axis 2 – to stimulate enterprise and support successful business by overcoming barriers to business creation and expansion
Axis 3 - to ensure sustainable development, production and consumption
There are a number of indicative activities associated with each axis.
Project proposals must also comply with the cross-cutting themes of environmental sustainability and equalities.
ERDF will supply an average of 40% of the project funding, the rest of the funding (match funding) can come from public or private sources.
There are four tendering rounds planned for 2008.
Full details of the programme, prospectus, and application guidance can be found on the EEDA| (new window) website.
